News from Care WisconsinSeptember 29, 2008 Care Wisconsin Supports Alzheimer's Research Sporting blue t-shirts with “We care about a Cure” on the front, Care Wisconsin staff went above and beyond to show they care about a cure for Alzheimer’s. Care Wisconsin sponsored two teams for the Alzheimer’s Association 2008 Memory Walk. One team took part in the Columbia County walk on Sunday, September 21, and the other team walked for Dane County on Saturday, September 27. Care Wisconsin also showed its support by being a silver-level event sponsor in Columbia County. Both events followed a two-mile route walked by staff, family and friends who helped raise money for the cause. Every step walkers took brought them closer to winning the fight against Alzheimer’s. Care Wisconsin contributed almost $2,400 and had 29 walkers participate. Columbia County Team Dane County Team 15 Walkers Raised $1,486.00
