Contracting Specialist

1 Full-Time (1.0 FTE) position (M-F, 8:00am-4:30pm)

Under the general direction of the Provider Services Manager, this position is responsible for negotiating long-term care and health care provider contracts for Care Wisconsin managed care programs during Care Wisconsin’s service area expansion into other counties. This position is also responsible for building positive contractual relationships with the newly-contracted providers.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in health care field, business administration, social work, health administration, nursing or related field or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite).
• Minimum of three years experience in a health care, social services or health insurance setting.

Preferred: 

• Knowledge of provider reimbursement mechanisms applicable to Care Wisconsin programs.
• Knowledge of Wisconsin health and long-term care system.
• Managed care experience.
