Employee Receives Award for Cost Savings

Materials Management Supervisor Sue Jones was recognized by Shared Health Services Corporation (SHSC) for her achievement of cost savings for medical equipment and supplies at the vendor’s annual awards conference in October. SHSC selected Jones and Care Wisconsin as the 2011 Home Health Care Member of the Year.

SHSC, based in La Crosse and an affiliate of Amerinet, negotiates discounts for products and services for health care, medical, food services and plant engineering, to name a few. Jones works with SHSC to get the best price on medical equipment and supplies for Partnership and Family Care members from vendors such as Gulf South, Sammons Preston, Direct Supply and others.

Stacey Royston, SHSC marketing consultant, commends Jones for her “fabulous job in seeking out savings opportunities” while maintaining quality.

“Sue is member oriented and, at the same time, mindful of identifying cost savings and making sure pricing is correct,” adds Stuart Copus, materials management manager.

SHSC also hosted a ceremony at Care Wisconsin’s offices in Madison to further recognize Jones.
