Care Wisconsin's Leadership Team & Board of Directors
Caring Starts When You Lead from the Heart…
Care Wisconsin recognizes and builds leadership throughout the organization. Many have formal leadership titles, like those on our executive team, board of directors, and program teams.
But we celebrate those who lead by example in other ways too, like:
- Sharing clinical, community or experience and knowledge.
- Doing the right thing even when it’s the “hard” thing.
- Advancing new ideas and insights so our organization can evolve over time.
- Mentoring and support colleagues.
- Taking care of oneself, so they have the capacity to care for others.
Get to know our Executive Team by looking through their profiles. We’re honored to have such an accomplished, compassionate group leading Care Wisconsin!

Amy Ackermann
Interim Chief Executive Officer | SHRM-CP, PHR, CPC
Since starting at Care Wisconsin in the fall of 2011, Amy Ackermann, has made employee growth, engagement, and wellness her priority so staff can better support members. Amy serves as Care Wisconsin’s interim Chief Executive Officer after a long stint as our Vice President of Employee Experience. As she eloquently states, “We don’t make or sell things–we deal in care and support for others. As our teams care for our members, the HR team cares for our staff.” To this end, Ackermann oversees a growing and innovative HR team who manage recruiting, retaining, compensating, rewarding, educating, and recognizing staff. Under her leadership, Care Wisconsin’s culture has evolved into a highly adaptive and inclusive organization that attracts Wisconsin’s top talent.
Before joining Care Wisconsin, Ackermann worked in HR leadership for a number of early-stage, high-tech companies in Madison. She received her degree in counselling from Northwestern University, which she leverages every day. She’s earned a Certified Professional Coach designation, which has enhanced her skills and approach in building relationships and supporting others. In her free time, Amy enjoys attending her children’s athletic events, cooking, and exploring new places—near and far.

Kevin Park
Chief Program Officer, Chief Medical Officer | MD
Chief Program and Medical Officer Kevin Park, MD, joined us in 2017 after serving as the National Medical Director for a special needs healthcare plan organization that served 13 major markets. Dr. Park is board certified in internal medicine, a Harvard Medical School and magna cum laude graduate of Harvard College, an editorial board member for the Journal of Healthcare Quality, and a nationally-recognized expert on medication adherence.
In spite of his noteworthy accomplishments, Dr. Park is a humble, servant-minded leader who focuses his energies on advancing our clinical practices to improve the experiences and lives of our members. Outside of work, Dr. Park is an avid traveller (he’s been to 46 states!) and patron of the arts. His passion for art and theatre began during his undergraduate years, when he majored in French and English literature.

While working as a community health nurse in Hawaii, for example, Angela developed and implemented a domestic violence screening program. Providing services in that community helped prepare her for her first role at Care Wisconsin in 2001, when she became an RN Care Manager with the Partnership program. After demonstrating strong leadership during several expansion initiatives and a desire to get more involved in the regulatory side of the organization, Angela became Compliance Officer in 2015.
