Letter to Providers Re: COVID-19

Dear My Choice Family Care – Care Wisconsin Provider,

My Choice Family Care – Care Wisconsin is committed to protecting our members in the event of an infectious disease outbreak. We understand concerns about Coronavirus (COVID-19) are a top priority, and we want to share information about how we are responding.

What is Coronavirus (COVID-19); Symptoms & Prevention Methods?
The Coronavirus (COVID-19) was first identified in December 2019 in Wuhan, China. It is a respiratory illness and is related to MERS and SARS, both coronaviruses. Symptoms can include fever, cough, and shortness of breath.

To limit the spread of the virus, it is important for all of us to learn how to prevent spreading germs. Handwashing, not touching your face, and social distancing are the best prevention methods. As a valued business partner, we encourage you to visit the Center for Disease Control (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO) and Department of Health Services (DHS) websites for the most reliable and current information on COVID-19.

Our Current Response
We have implemented an Incident Management Plan specific to the COVID-19 outbreak. This plan includes restricting visitors at our offices, infection control practices and limiting non-essential member home visits. Information about our current operating status can be found on our website. Many of our business partners have also restricted visitors at their facilities and as a committed partner, we will abide by these restrictions and are requiring all staff to work collaboratively with our business partners.

Our Request for Business Partners
We ask that you keep us updated on the response plan for your business which can be sent to healthemergencyplan@mychoicefamilycare.org. To assist you with developing your response plan, we encourage you to review the resources available on the CDC’s website.
